About the National Directorate of Employment (NDE)

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) was created in November 1986. It started its operations in January 1987. The Branch’s study is based on the consequences of the economic recession of the 1980s which led to a drastic reduction in the use of the labor force and the closure of factories in Nigeria. Similarly, other economic policies of the government at the time, such as the Structural Adjustment Program (SAP), the devaluation of the naira, and the privatization and commercialization of the economy led to massive projects.

NDE Recruitment Requirements/Qualifications 2024

• Applicant must be a Nigerian citizen
• Applicant interested in the NDE recruitment exercise must not be over 35 years
• Interested applicants must be of good behavior and composure
• Interested applicants must be physically, and mentally fit
• Knowledge of computer applications which will serve as an added advantage

• Interested candidates must have good communication skills

• HND, B.Sc, NCE, or an OND certificate in any related field, and from a recognized University

• Candidates with records criminal records excluding road traffic offenses will not be accepted to work with this agency
• All candidates must have a valid means of identification such as a valid driver’s license, National Identification Card, International passport, Voters card
• Must possess a minimum of Five Credits in no more than two sittings in West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE), National Examination Council (NECO), and General Certificate of Education (GCE). Credit in English is compulsory
