JAMB Cut-Off Mark for All Federal and State Universities – The joint matriculation board has officially released the New cut-off mark for Federal and State universities.

Following the massive failure of the previous Jamb candidate who sat for the UTME exam, Jamb has canceled the cut-off mark, this means there will be no general cut-off this year

Schools wont be allowed to set their own cut off mark anymore. This means that institutions can only determine its admission benchmark. Its obvious that schools are used to pegged high cut off mark even when JAMB is setting lower marks.

Although there are many tests and exams that a person can take to get into secondary school, the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is still the main test for getting into universities in Nigeria.
However, the minimum cut off. Mark for all primary schools in the country was decided by JAMB recently after a long discussion about the policy with the Jamb registrar, in the presence of Prof. Is-haq Olarenwaju Oloyede.

Jamb Cut-off Marks For all Federal and State Universities 2024

Here is the most current cut off marks set by the joint admission matriculation board for all institution across Nigeria;

  • Federal and State Universities – 160
  • Private Universities – 140
  • Federal and State Polytechnics – 120
  • Private Polytechnics – 110
  • Colleges of Education – 100

However, higher institutions accross Nigeria are known to have the freedom to upgrade their scores according to their preferences.
